Rare and amazing 1970s Italian table lamp that can also be hung on the wall as a sconce. Ribbed thick glass shade and ABS plastic base. It works with an E14 bulb. Dimmer is controlled with finger hole that circles to adjust intensity. The large round light dimmer that also functions as an on / off switch is a characteristic feature of Farstar. These lamps are so fabulous! Designed by Adalberto Dal Lago (1973) for Bieffeplast, Italy. In excellent vintage condition and fully functioning.
The Farstar lamp's distinctive circular shapes create a harmonious interplay of light and shadow, lending it a playful yet resolute demeanor. Its innovative design seamlessly blends whimsy with a serious undertone, making it a remarkable addition to any contemporary space. The Farstar table lamp is described in the 'Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000' by Giuliana Gramigna on Page 218 (1973). less
