This 'Rio' sculptural rocking chaise lounge by Oscar Niemeyer for Fasem International was originally designed in 1978 and produced through this day by the same Italian maker. Featuring a sculptural frame crafted from open pore black varnished ash assembled with three rippled sections connected with large brass hardware and covered in leather upholstered padded cushion with an adjustable counterbalanced headrest. Signed with Fasem repeat fabric under the leather cushions.
Two have sold so we now have three (3) left in stock, which are brand new and in its original box, available for immediate shipping, priced individually. Additional units can be ordered with 8 to 12 weeks lead time plus shipping from Italy. Custom colors can be requested. ***Please keep in mind, custom orders will be priced higher than the ones we have in-stock as prices have increased significantly since these were ordered. This sculptural 'Rio' rocker by Oscar Neimeyer for Fasem would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Post-Modern room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition.
