This gorgeous newly reupholstered leather management desk chair is by Otto Zapf for Knoll International, circa 1985. Constructed of heavily cushioned sections, with the top head section and arms removable. The chair base is height and tilt / recline adjustable and sits on top of a five star base with casters. The color is unique - perhaps a light slate blue? It has tones of light blue and muted grey - how about we call it "Blue Steel"? Whatever you want to call it - it is an incredible color and mesmerizing.
Thick leather over heavily padded cushions makes you feel like you are sitting on a cloud, ideal for those who have to work long hours and need a comfortable executive desk chair. We used to think the Time Life chair by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller was the most comfortable office chair - until we sat in this.
This designer on-trend highback leather management desk chair by Otto Zapf for Knoll International would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Post-Modern room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition.
