This rare and complete set of signed nesting side tables by Vladimir Kagan, during his early years with Hugo Dreyfuss, features eight hand made ceramic art tiles by Alexandra Kasuba. Designed around 1949, this set of three tables produced in the early 1950s during Kagan's time with Kagan-Dreyfuss. This design and other similar designs with Kasuba tiles are documented in the book "Vladimir Kagan, A Lifetime of Avant-Garde Design" on page 43 and 44.
This set of three cubist side / occasional tables are a rare collectors item, suitable for high-end interiors and discriminating collector clients. It is difficult to find a matching set of three signed nesting tables with all tiles in-tact and in good condition. Art investors recognize the value of Kagan's works, especially his earlier years with Hugo Dreyfuss during the 1950's and coupled with the future potential value of Kasuba art tiles positions this signed set of three tables as an incredible opportunity for functional fine art.
This Vladimir Kagan for Kagan-Dreyfuss set of three nesting tables with Alexandra Kasuba ceramic art tiles would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Post-Modern room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office.
