Published by John Murray, London, and Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, 1898-1901 (1922 Reprint). Each volume is bound with Moroccan Red leather spine with blue marbled over boards. Embossed and gilt titles and decals. The leather spines are lightly distressed, but all legible, One cover has been separated, but has not been lost. Several volumes have worn hinges, but are still functional, with care. The interior pages are in very good shape and text is clean throughout. Volumes have tissue overlaying frontispiece portraits. Dimensions: Each volume approximately 265mm high x 218mm wide x and typically 50mm deep. The weight of set is approximately 55 lbs (unpacked). More photos available on request. less
