Vintage mid to late 20th century Koch & Lowy / OMI brass pharmacy / apothecary / library reading lamp, featuring a rectangular base, half round shade, adjustable height and dimmable switch.
Ernest Lowy founded American lighting company, Koch & Lowy in 1946. The company was known for manufacturing innovative contemporary and modern luminaries. During the 1960s, Koch & Lowy purchased the lighting company OMI. Ernest Lowy's son, Thomas, sold the business in the 1990s.
