Description: The old gold field of this uncommon and very highly attractive Khotan scatter piece displays the classic 3 "moon" medallions … more The old gold field of this uncommon and very highly attractive Khotan scatter piece displays the classic 3 "moon" medallions layout. The central blue roundel shows the characteristic vase and pomegranate tree motif. The flanking rust-terracotta medallions show stars and rosettes. There are triangular fret corners with stars and stylized plant forms floating in the background. There is an outstanding abrashed inner border in medium blue,green and teal which adds lot of charm to this rug. The polychrome main border displays storm clouds. The pile is blush and very pleasant to the hand. The handle is very soft and pliable. This piece has been cleaned professionally. The scatter size is particularly rare for the type. This is a very inviting and desirable decorative rug which would be a wonderful addition to any room. less
