Italian Regency set of seven coasters designed by the legendary Piero Fornasetti for Saks Fifth Avenue, circa 1960. Each plate is gilded with 24k gold, and features a Greco Roman Chariot scene. Fornasetti was known for his Greek/Roman revival designs, miximg modern and classical elements. They are in very good vintage condition. Each "Fornasetti Milano Made in Italy Exclusively for Saks Fifth Avenue" on base. Presented in original box with orange accents and handpainted illustrations by Piero Fornasetti. Box also marked.
