A wonderful silvered bronze model of a Pheasant by the French Art Deco sculptor H. Petrilly, it features an angular stylized representation of the gentle bird. It stands alert with eyes peeled, proud under its bold plume while it walks along over the stacked Nero Portero marble base with stylized foliage cast integrally beside its legs. The model is signed in the smoothed foliage "H. Pétrilly" and the base is incised in tiny script by the editeurs Urbain & Cie.


Measurements: 15" H x 7 38" D x 10" W (base) x 19 3/4" W (widest points)

Condition Report:
Rubbing through the silvering to reveal the golden hue of the underlying bronze beneath on both the sculpture and on the silvered plate beneath the marble. Traces of tarnish and oxidization within the recesses throughout - these could certainly be polished out upon request, but we chose to leave the remnants of tarnish for some texture variation. Spotting and discoloration to the marble. A fine presentation. less
