Both horses have characteristics typical of the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) including arched necks with turning heads, pricked ears, muscular build, and a prancing stance. The Tang-style horses also have elaborate detailing in their saddles and harnesses with bells and etched regalia. Additionally, the pair of horses have clipped manes and cropped tails, which were also typical of the earlier Sui Dynasty (581 - 618). This iconic pair of horses will command attention wherever they grace your home or office and are worthy of the attention received as fine examples of the Tang Dynasty, China's "golden age" and most cosmopolitan period of history.
