Description: Chinese huaniao scroll, a bird and flower scroll in freely drawn colored inks on heavy paper, mounted on a shimering, … more Chinese huaniao scroll, a bird and flower scroll in freely drawn colored inks on heavy paper, mounted on a shimering, blue, gray and gold silk brocade in dragon and phoenix medallions pattern in a lattice of wanzi characters and other symbols, signed, with numerous, large and small, red seal marks in various shapes, and two inscriptions in black xingshu script. The image size is 24.5" wide x 49.5" high. With a black silk makio and kakio at the top and black jikusaki at the bottom. The outer scroll covering is a heavy, raw silk. Circa Republic of China era.
