Chinese bronze zodiac censer, a finely formed, circular, heavy, bronze bowl with a nice, variable, intact original patina and finely carved denglong dragon head handles flanking the body of the censer. The body is decorated with the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac (snake, horse, ram, monkey rooster and dog on one side, pig, rat, ox, tiger, rabbit and dragon on the other side). The censer has a short neck and foot with an inset base and an extended foot. A finely carved, four character, Qianlong, reign mark is incised to the base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu stand is included. Circa Republic of China era.
