Made to store small amounts of coal with the handy inner bucket making it easier to fill. Also used for cleaning the fireplace and discarding old ashes. Circa 1850

Bucket has been polished to showcase the beautiful original copper and brass. Remains otherwise in original condition. Rare to have original copper bucket inside.
