Capturing great color but still having correct values is always a struggle. I set up still life’s in a wide variety of colors to get my eye to see the variety of values, contrasts and colors. This piece I used a very dark cloth behind the set up and it reflected wonderful colors on the cup and the peppers. Using strong colors and controlling values is my goal, really happy with this piece!
I used vinyl paint on hot press watercolor paper. less
