Basalt was one of the Egyptians most utilized stones. It was used to make an array of items from pots to other kitchen tools to vases to statues to even flooring! The utilization of basalt by the ancient Egyptians can be traced back to Pre-Dynastic times.
This elegant statue is carefully hand-carved out of premium black basalt and painted with a glossy paint for ultimate protection and a shiny finish.
