(circa 1990s) The neatly embedded leather … more A circular top cream Empire style toned gueridon table with blonde leather top insert. (circa 1990s) The neatly embedded leather tooled topper has pie-cut style intentionally visible stitching that emanates from a center circle. It also features a repetitive gold stamped trim and marked by a gallery style rail that offers yet another interesting element to this unique empire style wrought iron based center table. The table stands on a trio of vanilla toned sloping double rod legs that have an angular design that nearly have similar qualities and angularity reminiscent of those connected to a a Greek key design.. Toward the bottom, at ankle height, the three curved legs meet and conform at a metal ring that sits beneath a bronze toned large urn shaped Final style decoration. Finally one last notable feature are the Omalu style metal leaves that lay draped like Sunday Church shoes at the end of each elegant leg.. This table can be used in a number of ways .For example, as a drinks table between two formal lounge chairs or as a center gueridon table where a large floral centerpiece might be displayed in the foyer or entrance area of the home. In fact, as a side table it works nicely as well. and its versatility is not just in its use it adds value to most any ambient motif. There is no makers mark to identify the maker definitively, however, it is in sync with the French Neoclassical tables curated and sold through Maison Jensen although it also has the sensibility of being from the collections hailed by Maitland Smith.
