Hauntingly beautiful portrait by listed artist Viola Allen. Viola Allen was born on Long Island, New York on & studied at the Pratt Institute and NAD (painting with Charles Curran, portrait painting with Moskowitz and Borgdonav, sculpture with Haffner and Monahan). She had a commercial art studio in Malibu for many years. Viola Allen died in Ventura, CA on April 8, 1997.
The frame is older and intricate molding shows minor cracking from age. It actually adds to the character/charm of this spectacular piece!! less
