Beautiful Chippendale style mahogany corner chair with ball and claw feet. Love the sweep to the arms and the carved … more Beautiful Chippendale style mahogany corner chair with ball and claw feet. Love the sweep to the arms and the carved splats to the back. The three cabriole legs to the front end with ball and claw feet and a turned rear leg. The slip seat is easily reupholstered if you like. This style chair are normally referred to as "corner chairs" or round a bout chairs". They make the perfect desk chair to go with a slant front desk and I believe this is how they were used in the 18th century. This chair was made in the 1930s or 1940s, Chair is 32 1/2" tall and 33 1/4" wide across the arms and 26" deep. The seat height is 18 1/2". If you look at the 6th photo you can see some indentations along the top of the crest rail. Almost looks like some one tried to carve their initials but I think its just dents from being banged with something. Chair has its original finish which shows wear consistent with use and age. Personally I find these chairs very comfortable. less

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
