A beautiful Maki-E Tebako (Lacquered Casket) (document box)
with authentication from Toyo Bijutsukan of the Museum of Eastern Arts Tokyo, dated Feb 1964
please read the letter for the information on this box, the lacquer is not black it is brown
and there are a few chips to the inside edges (see photos) the lacquer appears dry, I will leave it to the purchaser to restore if they choose.
