A great looking handsome pair of Italian painted and gilded armchairs in a dove gray blue color with gilt accents. Hand carved details throughout with sweeping arms and cabriole legs. Large scale and comfortable to sit in with off white and blue upholstery. Both chairs have matching bolster cushions. The backs are removable and secured by brass catches which was a common feature in 18th century Italian chairs. The chairs have their original paint worn patina with some later in painting. less
