"Robert Wood, a favorite of American art collectors, was born in 1889 on the Kentish Coast of England. After attending art school in his native land, he came to this country as a youth and traveled over America, Canada and Mexico, familiarizing himself with the people and conditions in his new world.
The first dealer to be attracted by the artist's work bought up his entire available supply, and from that time on, there has been a continued demand for his landscapes, rugged mountain scenes and pastoral studies".
