Table has a maple top as well as the base. Normally the top would be pine but this one was a "Step up" over the typical tables of this style. Instead of breadboard ends there is a single cleat that runs under the middle of the top to help keep it from warping. The legs are mortised and tenoned into the skirt and held in place with wooden pegs. The top is also attached to the base with 8 wooden pegs as can be seen in the photos. Table was refinished a while ago. When you see the underside of the table you can tell this table has not had any restoration other than refinishing. Table is 24 1/2" deep and 33 3/4" wide and stands 28" tall. Minor wear to the finish on the top and legs consistent with use and age. See less
