Description: Antique Country French Farm Table or Dining Table that our Old Plank woodworking department restored structurally, but left the cosmetics … more Antique Country French Farm Table or Dining Table that our Old Plank woodworking department restored structurally, but left the cosmetics alone. We believe that our Rustic French Farm Table was made from thick Elm wood, but we are not 100% in agreement, so let's call it our best hypothesis. All the indications point to the table having been constructed in the late 1700's or very early 1800's and was well built, as were most furniture in that period. The wood has a beautiful grain pattern to it almost like a painting. Look carefully and you'll see that our French rustic farm table top is made from two-boards cut from one thick board and butterflied, so each board mirrors the other. All this really means, is that whoever built the table had a little sole and took him time to create something very special. less
