The piece is beautifully constructed of the … more Phenomenal antique Italian Rococo style three drawer commode from the early 20th century. The piece is beautifully constructed of the period with nail and wood dowel joinery, and a curved front sitting on cabriole legs. It is painted in the Lacca Povera technique with a green faux marble top and images of the Italian countryside throughout. Each drawer has a lock. There is a skeleton key included that works the top two locks, but the bottom lock is stuck. It is labeled 'Made in Italy' on the reverse. It has imperfections throughout but is perfectly charming with all its flaws. less
