- This is an 1890s double light, hanging fixture by The Angle Lamp Co. that was originally lit by kerosene, and … more This is an 1890s double light, hanging fixture by The Angle Lamp Co. that was originally lit by kerosene, and is now electrified. Its oil lamps were unique, with the burner on the side at nearly a 90-degree angle to the lamp's body. It has the original glass pieces - two clear, hemisphere globes topped with white, chimney glass with scalloped top edges. The silver body is cylindrical with an embossed leaves pattern and a harp-style, brass handle that hangs from a chain. The maker's mark is stamped on the top of the body and knobs. The Angle Lamp Company (ALC), known later as the Angle Manufacturing Company, was in business from 1892 to 1929 in New York City. This fixture has been newly rewired and the canopy and chain have been replaced. 36.5" total height, 17.5" height x 21" width x 7" depth. less
