- Beautiful antique French Louis XV fire screen with bleached oak frame. The center has been refitted with a vintage cream … more Beautiful antique French Louis XV fire screen with bleached oak frame. The center has been refitted with a vintage cream and blue heavy toiled the back has a contrasting new small blue check. On the from the toile is trimmed in a new blue gimp. The raw oak frame is beautifully carved with swirls, shell, and leaves. The back is not carved. The footed stand is carved on all sides. The screen measures 39 1/2" tall, 22 1/2" wide, and 14 1/2" deep at base only. The screen itself is 1" deep. the overall condition is good considering its age. It is sturdy and there are a few slight scratches, marks, and wood cracks (all in pictures), but nothing major or detracts from its overall beauty. less
