Crafted in northern France circa 1870, and built of solid oak wood, the seating stands on six carved, turned legs connected with a bottom stretcher. The top is upholstered with a grey cotton fabric embellished with a discrete chevron pattern. The Louis XIII style bench is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich rubbed patinated painted finish in the grey palette; versatile and over seven foot long, it would also make a beautiful statement in an entry, or be used in a hallway.
