Made of walnut with miscellaneous woods.
Some of the wood pieces have been dyed red. The top is domed with hinges. Was made in the Spa town of Tunbridge Wells in Kent County England. Hand crafted in the 1800s, Victorian Era. Interior has remnants of paper. It once had a lock and key. In excellent condition with period wear and patina, consistent with age and use. No missing pieces of wood. No serious damage or repairs.
