A Asian Chinese antique cast bronze handbell Buddhist Meditation Prayer Ghanta Bell.
Probably from the late Qing dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty.
Although it is a casting, the fine decoration is very beautiful.
The characters are designed to be large, but this is a Sanskrit character with the sides gently flaring towards the base.
There is a ball inside, so when you shake the bell, you will hear a beautiful sound.
This unusual tall handled cast antique bronze bell size form is unusual tall slim bottle neck form and a Chinese Tao-tie face motif and striker buttons suggest Chinese creation.
With its handsome patina from good age, we date this interesting bell to the late 19th century.

Dimensions: Bell is 9.25 inches tall and 4 inches wide x 3.25 " Depth.
Quality: Fine patina, old and original surfaces, finest of finely cast details makes for an unusual collecting opportunity.
