This Antique Italian Rosewood Veneer Bed from … more 1920 Antique Italian Renaissance style Bronze and Carved Walnut & Rosewood Bed Frame. This Antique Italian Rosewood Veneer Bed from the Art Deco Period combines elegance and dramatic style with its intricate design and stunning Bronzed details. The rectangular shape of the bed frame, along with the decorative headboard with attached left and right far side Portor Marble topped night tables. Curved and decorated foot board with huge Bronze Cherubs [remember this is all original]. This bed has heights of 81 inches and 43.5 inches respectfully. This bed exudes a sense of grandeur that will make a statement in any bedroom.
Crafted in Italy during the early 1920's. This original Liberty bed frame is made of wood and Rosewood veneer and very large Bronze Putti. Center bronze plaque of Mary and Jesus, shooting stars and alot of incredible detail grace the center of the headboard. There is large bronze banding gracing the top of the bed frame. One of a kind find and note that Mickey Rourke has this bed and the layout [of his bedroom and this bed] grace Architectural Digest.
The external bed measurements to the widest point are 98.5 inches. This includes the bedside cabinet night stands [which are attached one on each side]. Portor deluxe black marble inserted into the tops of each night stands. The bed has an interior platform that the mattress rests on. The mattress has a custom formed thick foam [very, very comfortable] mattress that will be included. It is a new foam piece. The interior mattress dimensions are 28.5 inches high and 81 inches long and 64 inches deep. Please note those dimensions are the mattress area only. The full dimensions are in the dimension boxes below. There is thick gilt bronze trim across the headboard portion and across the baseboard portion. There are huge highly detailed Bronze Plaques of Cherubs cavorting. Those plaques on the left and on the right. There is also a set of Bronze framed light fixtures for bulbs. This bed has built in lights on the headboard and again, everything is all original. The bed will arrive disassembled and easy instructions for putting the bed together will be provided. less
