This is a large fabulous Hand Carved and hand painted Wood Stool/table from the Nupe Tribe These stools are carved out of a single piece of wood with intricate patterns
The Nupe people live along the banks of the Niger river. Their art is non-figurative and mostly decorative and are presented to brides by their grooms.
Traditionally these beautiful stools are used as prestige objects on market days during important meetings.
