Iconic Mid Century Modern headboard, designed by Merton Gershun, for American of Martinsville, as part of their sought after Diana series, circa 1950's. The headboard features two canted one drawer cabinets, each with open storage beneath the drawer. The top is a long black laminate shelf that extends the full length of the piece. This example is in very good, clean, ready to use condition, showing only light cosmetic wear, normal and consistent with age.
The headboard accepts a standard full size mattress, specific dimensions as follows:
Total W 96" x Total H 34" x Total D 15.25"
Interior W 54" H to Lower Shelf 15"
The interior W can be extended to accept a Queen Size mattress, if you use metal plates, which are readily available. less
