Table was made shortly after the end of the Civil War in the 1870's. The fitted top drawer is handle dovetailed as expected. Some one added the pull to the top drawer probably shortly after the lost the key! The felt writing or work surface is recently replaced. The original finish of the table has been cleaned to show the beauty of the burl walnut panels. Table does move a little if pushed. All of this type do. Table is not loose. Table is 16 1/2" by 24" and stands 29" tall. Nice clean condition ready to place. less
