This looks to be "La Flama" (The Flame), an abstract Modern Movement design, Latin American art piece by Mexican artist Leonardo Nierman. It is unsigned which is not uncommon for his work.
Hand carved, measures 17-1/2” tall, 6” wide by 2” thick, the base is 6” square. ~ less
