Jim and Sharron Barrett studied with the renowned glass artists of Vetrate Artische Toscane in Siena, Italy. At their studio in Germantown, Tennessee, they developed a unique process for creating inlaid glass and kiln firing gold into glass. They have won numerous awards as glass artists and have worked throughout their careers as a team without studio assistants.

Each piece of glass in the design is hand cut and after a kiln firing, which fuses the hand-cut pieces together, 22k gold is applied by hand. A second and third firing cures the gold and forms the finished piece. less
