Rare pair of rattan seating hand-crafted in the California coastal organic modern style by McGuire artisans. The set features whimsical twisted pole rattan that gracefully curves around the back and arms. The rattan has an optional glazed or cerused finish with a desirable aged coastal patina. The seats are reinforced with solid oak and the joints are lashed together with leather rawhide laces in a cream tone. The set is comprised of a settee and one matching lounge chair. The seat cushions have a vintage fabric featuring delicate flora patterns over a white ground with light fading and wear. Custom ordered bespoke pieces bearing McGuire's pearl M insignia on the backs and McGuire plaques on bottoms. Sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. From an estate in Malibu, CA.
