Featuring ornate details including gilt esque foliaceous hand-crafted borders and clawed feet. Note the voluptuousness of the braided legs - a defiance, perhaps, against the purity of the staid ideals of the Victorian age, as much furniture was wont to do at the particular time. There is an inscription of the maker’s mark on the verso of the border but it is illegible. Great condition with minor signs of age.
