A very interesting and rare piece. French/Flemish silk tapestry from the early 20 Century. The imagery looks to be an allegory for peace or communication (maiden holding cadavers and doe) The surrounding imagery related to writing letters and delivering letters. The letters are late 19th, early 20th Century style with address and stamp..which helps to date it!
Such a beautiful and etherial piece...exceptional!
