1920s Art Deco Egyptian Revival 9kt gold scarab bracelet. Open-back frames are linked with double connectors and bezel-set with carved semi-precious stones: carnelian, chrysoprase, jasper, tigers eye, and banded agate in four different colors. This is one of the most spectacular scarab bracelets I have ever encountered, I've had it in my collection for many years. The carvings on the stones on both sides are meticulous and delicate, unlike so many of the cheaper iterations of that time and after. And the stones -- they are simply glorious! glowing and resonant and rich, translucent and vivid. The narrow shape is quite unusual, and emphasizes the beauty of the stones. A rare and seductive example of classic jewelry art. Impeccable condition throughout. 8"L x 1"W. See less
