1950s silver-plated "cha-cha" expansion bracelet. Hold onto your hats for this one! Insanely festive expansion bracelet with hundreds of Venetian wedding glass and crystal beads, shimmying and shimmering and scintillating. Where to begin? My favorites are the wedding glass beads in shades of amethyst, ruby, citrine, smoke, and black, with tiny little raised colorful dots all over them. There there are the faceted crystal beads, in hues of ruby, sapphire, amethyst, lilac, and clear. And don't forget the little silver rosebud beads. Why were they called "cha-cha bracelets", you ask? When you did the cha-cha, and you went "one, two, cha cha cha", you would wiggle your wrists on the "cha-cha-cha", and your bracelet(s) would make a sound like maracas! I have seen many of these bracelets in my 40+ years of collecting, and this is by far the most dazzling, delightful, deliriously gorgeous one I have ever encountered! The condition is pristine, it looks like it was seldom if ever worn. Simply spectacular! Interior unexpanded, 6", comfortable up to 7+"; band is 0.5"W, overall exterior effect is 1.25"W. less
