Here is an outstanding and timeless tulip shaped dining table from the later 1970's. The table is modeled after an Saarinen design. I believe the base is chrome as it has that wonderful reflective silver quality. The top of the tulip shaped pedestal is also in that chromed finish, which is visible through the glass. I really love that special detail about this table! A clear, round piece of glass sits securely on the top.
