- Hand-carved in 11 sections of Estaillade limestone from Provence, France, this single-pillar wall fountain has a wonderful cream patina. A … more Hand-carved in 11 sections of Estaillade limestone from Provence, France, this single-pillar wall fountain has a wonderful cream patina. A pair of iron bars extend from the front wall of the rectangular basin to the pillar that rises from the back wall. Bars such as these would have been used centuries ago to support containers as French citizens gathered water for their homes. Today the bars can be topped with a decorative bucket or small planter box. A scrolled iron spout emanates from a raised carved circle, high above the basin. The column is surmounted by a geometric finial on top of a protruding molding with a cavetto cornice. Our single-pillar fountain can be displayed against a courtyard wall or an exterior edifice in a garden. less
