rare solid vintage pine lamps nordic design from ikea sweden. This lamps were only produced between 1988-1991.
new lampshades by josef frank for svenskt tenn is included.

swedish mega-brand ikea was founded by småland-born ingvar kamprad (1926) in 1943. According to legend, kamprad even as a boy had big dreams of starting his own business, and he was able to launch ikea at age 17 through a small loan from his father as a reward for doing well in school.

the name is an acronym for “ingvar kamprad elmtaryd agunnaryd”—elmataryd being the name of the farm where kamprad grew up, and agunnaryd the name of his hometown.

josef frank (1885–1967) was an austrian-swedish architect and designer, known for his pioneering work in functionalism and his unique style in furniture and textile design.

in sweden, he began collaborating with estrid ericson at svenskt tenn, where he created over 3,000 sketches and 250 textile patterns.
his designs are characterized by richness of color, convenience, and a quest to create homely environments.
