Made of hardwood, not soft pine. Open back. Hand built in the 1920's by the grandfather of the current owner. Each slot front has the old style brass card catalog tag holder. 55 cubies in total (5 x 11). Front shows expected wear and aging from over a century of use. Given a good cleaning, it does retain some of the dusty patina from age. Solid as a rock, no wobbles, no rot. Rests on four newer steel casters. Stands 82" high x 37.5 wide x 11.5 deep. Each cubby is 6.5H x 6W x 11D. less
