61238 Antique Persian Hussainabad Hamadan Rug, 03'04 x 05'10. This exquisite hand-knotted wool antique Persian Hussainabad Hamadan rug is a captivating example of traditional Persian craftsmanship. The rug's field is adorned with a rich array of geometric motifs, intricately woven into a harmonious design that reflects the cultural heritage of the region. The central field, dominated by a warm, deep rose tone, features a repeating pattern of stylized floral elements and tribal symbols that create a sense of rhythm and movement across the rug. Each motif is meticulously detailed, showcasing the weaver's skill in balancing form and color to produce a visually striking composition.
The border of this Hussainabad rug adds to its charm and complexity. A deep blue border frames the central field, flanked with an inner diagonal striped guard border and an outer boteh guard border. The boteh, often considered a symbol of life and eternity in Persian culture, adds a layer of meaning to the rug's overall design. This border, with its intricate patterning and contrasting colors, serves to anchor the lively central field, creating a perfect balance between boldness and elegance.
What sets this rug apart is the use of color, which enhances the intricate designs and brings the patterns to life. The rug features a palette of deep pinks, blues, and earth tones, with accents of beige and green. These colors are carefully chosen to highlight the detailed geometric and floral motifs, while the overall warm and inviting tone makes this rug a perfect addition to any space. The harmony of color and pattern is a testament to the weaver’s deep understanding of traditional Persian design principles.
This antique Hussainabad Hamadan rug is not just a decorative piece; it is a work of art that tells a story of cultural tradition and skilled craftsmanship. The durability of the wool, combined with the timeless design, ensures that this woven wonder will continue to bring warmth and beauty to any home for generations to come.
