This collection of lithographs captures the essence of melancholy through the central female figures, each rendered with a vivid palette and detailed backgrounds that are a hallmark of caraltó's expressive style. Each lithograph has its own title. each example is in good overall condition and has been beautifully framed with anti-reflective glass. Guitar serenade: the woman holds a guitar, her expression reflecting a wistful longing, enveloped in a symphony of colours that evoke a sense of musical solitude. Bird whisperer: with a gentle bird in her hand, the woman's serene yet sorrowful gaze captures a deep connection with nature's fleeting moments. Cat's embrace: cradling a cat on her lap, the woman's tranquil demeanour conveys a quiet, introspective affection. Solitary bloom: seated at a table with a bouquet of flowers, her pensive expression and the vibrant surroundings merge to create a scene of contemplative beauty. Market day: standing with a basket of vegetables in one hand and flowers in the other, the woman's presence symbolises both the abundance and the melancholy of life's seasons. Caged melody: sitting with her hands folded, surrounded by caged birds, the woman’s wistful gaze hints at themes of freedom and confinement, a recurring motif in caraltó's oeuvre.
