This remarkable 19th-century French Christofle silver-plated samovar and teapot set is an exquisite example of antique craftsmanship. This 3-piece set is stamped with the original Christofle marks used between 1844-1862, including the oval mark with four stars, two "C" letters (for Charles Christofle), a balance, and a bee image. Each piece—samovar, teapot, and lid—carries the same registration number, ensuring their authentic, original matching.
Teapot:
The teapot is beautifully decorated with engraved floral patterns and features a finely detailed handle. The spout is artistically cast in the form of a goose with its mouth wide open, adorned with a regal necklace. The lid is decorated with a cast bouquet of flowers, adding elegance to the design. The heavy-quality casted parts demonstrate the exceptional craftsmanship of this period.
Samovar:
The samovar completes the set with its fully engraved, intricate designs, including royal medallions featuring crowns and fleur-de-lis. Each side of the samovar displays these regal emblems, making it a unique and highly decorative piece. It also includes the original container for burning oil, making this set not just beautiful but functional.
