This David Hockney rare vintage 1988 lithograph print custom framed large iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibition poster " Nichols Canyon " 1980, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The lithograph print poster is published by The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York on the occasion of the iconic retrospective exhibition. Printed in The United States in 1988 in an unnumbered limited edition. It features an artwork image originally created by Hockney in 1980 titled " Nichols Canyon ", copyright David Hockney 1988.
David Hockney ( B. 1937 ) is an English painter, draftsman, printmaker, stage designer, and photographer. He is an important contributor to The Pop Art Movement of the 1960's. He is considered one of the most influential British artists of The Twentieth Century. His artworks have commanded greater popular acclaim than any other Contemporary British artist. The Pop Art Expressionist style artworks have been the subject of more than 400 solo exhibitions. Art works by Hockney are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print large format framed museum exhibition poster print measures 24 1/4" W X 39 1/2" H X 1" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern navy blue metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age, very light signs of handling, and very light minor wear.
