Vintage Late 1980's-early 90s; Custom Italian Regency, entry or hall cabinet/chest by Colombo Mobili. There ia exquisite craftsmanship, and materials used with; inlaid burl wood details and marquetry details throughout, with gorgeous interplay of this contrasting, woods and stained finishes, synonymous to this Italian Companies following. Other details are the gorgeous brass hardware, locking mechanism with key, splayed legs, accent the cabinet and offset it at the same time, bringing such minute and necessary details to this high end, custom cabinet. Also the marquetry inlaid details, has a front geometric panel in offsetting ebony, chestnut and honey colored burl inlay, while the apposing end sides also has the burly good detail panels, and top, with mitered flush corners. The back side as one can see, has the maker's marking brass plate label attached to the upper left hand corner. As the door is unlcked and opened one can see 2 different interior shelves, (we will update lsiting, once look back to ask owners if the shelves are adjustable), Custom made in Italy.
The owners of this piece along with all the other pieces being installed within this storefront, from the Camel OX Chair/Ottoman and forward, with more to come are from they same owners, who have many multiple homes throughout the country, and are wishing to offload these, as the buying spree, when outfitting their homes changes in subtle fashions, throughout their ever-changing lifestyles, likes/dislikes/and ever-evolving, design pantheon, eras and styles.
