- Very nice lamp. I’m guessing the carved stone is either quartz or nephrite or a combination of both. Has been … more Very nice lamp. I’m guessing the carved stone is either quartz or nephrite or a combination of both. Has been rewired for safety and works perfectly. Also made with filagreed brass and carved rosewood. Has carvings on both sides of a bird and an elephant and flower along its sides. A craving of a seal sits on top of these. A must for any collector of vintage lamps. less
